Traffic Dept NPA Pays Tribute To SSASCGOC Outgoing President Comrade Ya’u

The Traffic Department of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) ,Tin Can Island Zone on Monday,  paid tribute to the outgoing President , Senior Staff Association of Statutory Corporations and Government Owned Companies (SSASCGOC),Comrade Adamu Ya’u Gora.

Coincidentally, the outgoing President officially handed over the mantle of leadership to his successor, Comrade Abdullahi Abubakar .

In his remarks, Comrade Anda Emmanuel ,Senior Manager of the department and former Chairman Tin Can one zone ,SSASCGOC said “It is the usual tradition for this department to organise send forth for those that have worked in the department.

He further described Ya’u as a wonderful colleague , who according to him ,contributed immensely to the authority and  union respectively.

He noted that “As we celebrate our  colleagues today,we pray to God for divine protection on his successful retirement.”

Members of the department gave positive remarks about the former Traffic Manager of  Tin Can Island Port.

Responding ,the outgoing President of SSASCGOC thanked members of the department for the support during his reign as the union boss and former Traffic Manager.

Ya’u further appreciated members of the department for their loyalty and respect while in service,even as he wished them success in their future endeavour.

Highpoints of the occasion was the presentation of gifts to Comrade Ya’u and another retired colleague.

Meanwhile, the new SSASCGOC President ,Comrade Abdullahi and his management team assumed duty officially at the national Secretariat of the union in Lagos.
