Tinubu Appoints New CEOs For OGFZA ,NEPZA, Export Promotion Council, Others
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Friday, approved the appointment of Olufemi Ogunyemi and Nonye Ayeni as Chief Executive Officers for Nigeria Export Processing Zone Authority, (NEPZA) and Nigeria Export Promotion Council, (NEPC)respectively.
According to a statement , the President also approved the appointment of Ifeanyi Chukwunonso Okeke as the new Director General of the Standards Organization of Nigeria, SON and Bamanga Usman Jada for Oil & Gas Free Zone Authority, OGFZA.
Okeke takes over from the former Director General, Mallam Farouk Salim who was appointed to head the organization in 2019 by the former President Muhammadu Buhari.
The President, in line with his resolve to anchor Nigeria’s economic revival on the foundation of trade expansion through small, medium and large scale industry facilitation in the country, also approved the appointment of new Chief Executive Officers, CEOs of several agencies and parastatals under the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment.
Other agencies, parastatals and the appointees as confirmed by the President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale are: Corporate Affairs Commission, CAC — Hussaini Ishaq Magaji, SAN; Industrial Training Fund, ITF — Afiz Ogun Oluwatoyin; National Sugar Development Council, NSDC — Kamar Bakrin;
Others are: Nigeria Investment Promotion Commission, NIPC — Aisha Rimi; Small & Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria, SMEDAN — Charles Odii; Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria, FRCN — Rabiu Olowo; Nigeria Commodities Exchange, NCE — Anthony Atuche, CFA; Lagos International Trade Fair Complex, LITFCMB — Veronica Safiya Ndanusa; Tafawa Balewa Square Management Board, TBSMB — Lucia Shittu and National Automotive Design and Development Council, NADDC — Oluwemimo Joseph Osanipin.
“In view of the Renewed Hope Agenda of his administration, President Bola Tinubu expects all new appointees in this critical sector to optimally deliver in accordance with new key performance indicating benchmarks as established by the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment.
“By this directive of the president, all of the above listed appointments take immediate effect”, Ngelale stated.
