Tambuwal Approves N624m For Deputy Governor’s Residence

The Sokoto state executive council presided over by Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal Friday , approved the sum of over N624 million for the completion of the official residence of the state’s Deputy Governor in Sokoto.

The Commissioner for Information, Alhaji Isah Bajini Galadanci stated this while briefing newsmen after the state executive council meeting held at the Council Chamber, Government House, Sokoto.

The contract was earlier revoked as a result of its abandonment by the contractor handling it.

Also speaking, the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Malam Saidu Umar said the Council approved over N370 million for additional work at the ongoing renovation of the State High Court Complex, Sokoto.

The SSG further explained that the Council also approved the sum of over N54 million for the reconstruction of the roofing of the International Conference Center Kasarawa.

It could be recalled that, the main roofing of the conference center was damaged by heavy windstorm that occured recently.
