The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) international , Pastor Enoch Adeboye on Sunday , called on those criticising Nigerian military and paramilitary to stop ,saying they are human being with limitations.
Pst Adeboye who made the plea during the monthly Thanksgiving Service at the National Headquarters (Throne of Grace) in Lagos , commended the law enforcement agencies for their contributions to nation building .
The church service has in attendance : officials of the Nigeria Police Force, Nigeria Customs Service, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC),Nigerian Army etc.
The cleric who spoke on the topic Strength And Shield, stressed the need for military and paramilitary existence in every nation adding that despite the size of a country ,there is need for them to discharge their responsibilities.
According to him, these security agencies are bound to encounter some level of limitations due to the fact that they human beings.
While citing the scriptures ,the General Overseer, quoted the book of 2Samuel 21 verse 15 :18, 1st Samuel 26 vs 1:24, 2nd Kings 6 vs 8:10.
Other scriptural references include; Psalm 91 vs 5 : 6, 2nd Kings 5vs 1,Isaiah 40vs 28, Isaiah 31vs 1:3,Jeremiah 17 vs 5-6 and Proverb 21vs 31.
He further called on Christians to pray for the law enforcement agencies, pointing out that God is the only unlimited being who provide security for mankind.
He enjoined Christians to embrace Christ Jesus adding that there is darkness in the world.
” Father, we commit our military and paramilitary to your hands, take care of them yourself, Oh Lord.
“We all love it when we’ve got good security in our land, yeah?
How about we pray for all our military and paramilitary men. Think about it…
“Fulfill your promises in the life of every one of your children and let testimonies surround them!
“Whatever you have lost in life, God would restore in multiple folds!
“And it shall turn to you for a testimony”
“In this month of September, you’d move from one level of testimony to another!Your testimony would begin now!
