SSASCGOC Maritime Congratulates New M.D Of NPA
The Senior Staff Association of Statutory Corporations and Government Owned Companies (SSASCGOC), Maritime Branch has congratulated the newly appointed Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Dr. Abubakar Dantsoho.
While welcoming the new MD, SSASCGOC Maritime Branch, said that being an insider, the union expected more from him than the previous NPA CEOs.
Speaking on behalf of the workers, the President of SSASCGOC maritime, Comrade Akinola Bodunde said that the union was ready to work with him to deliver in his new assignment
Comrade Bodunde also thanked the outgoing MD, Mohammed Bello-Koko for his achievements during his stay in office
He said that the union wished him more successes in his future endeavours wherever he takes his foray.

Bodunde assured the new Managing Director of the union’s support adding that the new appointment would create a robust working relationship between management and staff of NPA.
He further urged the new MD to prioritise workers welfare for effective productivity calling on him to ensure continuity from where his predecessor stopped.
Recall that president Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Friday, approved the appointment of Dantsoho as the MD in a statement by the Chief Ajuri Ngelale , Special Adviser to the President, Media & Publicity.
The President also approved the appointment of Senator Adebayo Adeyeye as the Chairman of the board of NPA
Dr. Dantsoho holds a Doctorate degree in Maritime Technology from Liverpool John Moores University, United Kingdom, and a Master’s degree in International Transport from Cardiff University of Wales, United Kingdom.
Before his appointment, he had served in various roles in the Nigerian Ports Authority as Assistant General Manager; Technical Assistant to the Managing Director; Port Manager, Onne Port; and Principal Manager, Tariff & Billing, among others.
