SSASCGOC Maritime Branch Cheers NPA On Christmas, Pushes For Better Worker Welfare

The Senior Staff Association of Statutory Corporations and Government Owned Companies (SSASCGOC) Maritime Branch has extended warm Christmas greetings to the management and staff of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA).

In a message signed by its President, Comrade Akinola Bodunde, on Wednesday, the union commended the NPA’s management, led by Dr. Abubakar Dantsoho and the executive team, for their steadfast commitment to worker welfare.

Comrade Bodunde also praised union members and all staff for their dedication and hard work, which have driven significant economic gains for the government and nation.

He emphasized that these efforts deserve improved welfare packages, pledging the union’s unwavering advocacy on behalf of workers.

The union leader urged well-meaning Nigerians to use the Christmas season for reflection on the country’s challenges, embracing positive attitudes and character for national progress.

Bodunde called on workers and citizens alike to emulate Jesus Christ’s virtues in workplaces and society, fostering a better Nigeria.

Finally, the SSASCGOC Maritime Branch leader reminded the government that worker welfare must align with the realities of Nigeria’s economy.
