SSASCGOC Maritime Applauds MD NPA Over Election As Vice President IAPH Africa

The Senior Staff Association of Statutory Corporations and Government Owned Companies (SSASCGOC ) Maritime Branch has applauded Dr. Abubakar Dantsoho, Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), on his new appointment as elected Vice President of the International Association of Port and Harbour in Africa, describing it as historic milestone for both the workers and the nation’s maritime sector.

In a statement from Comrade Akinola Bodunde, President of the SSASCGOC Maritime, on Thursday, expressed heartfelt congratulatory messages to Dr. Dantsoho on his prestigious appointment.

The message highlighted the appointment as a recognition of his exemplary leadership, dedication, and vision in advancing the maritime and port industry across Africa.

Dr. Dantsoho’s achievement , Bodunde stated not only brings honour to the Nigerian Ports Authority but also reaffirms Nigeria’s significant role in shaping the future of African maritime trade.

The President expressed optimism that under his guidance, the association will continue to promote collaboration, innovation, and sustainable development within the sector.

Additionally, the Trade Union Congress TUC affiliate President acknowledged Dr. Dantsoho’s committed efforts in addressing various welfare issues affecting industry members.

He said:“Your attention and dedication have greatly improved the well-being and morale of those involved, reflecting your genuine care and leadership,” the message read.

Comrade Bodunde concluded by wishing Dr. Dantsoho success in his new leadership role and expressed hope for a tenure marked by impactful progress and continued excellence.
