SSASCFA Celebrates Comrade Francis Bunu On His 50th Birthday

The President General , Senior Staff Association of Clearing and Forwarding Agency (SSASCFA), Comrade Harrison Ugochukwu Asonye, on behalf of his group takes great pride in celebrating the milestone 50th birthday of Comrade Francis Bunu, President General of the Maritime Workers’ Union of Nigeria (MWUN).

Asonye in his birthday wishes made available to DAILY FOCUS NIGERIA on Thursday, described Comrade Bunu’s exemplary dedication and unwavering commitment to the welfare of maritime workers which in turn has earned him profound respect and admiration across the labour movement in Nigeria.

He said in the message that Bunu has demonstrated exceptional leadership qualities, steering the MWUN through both challenging and prosperous times.

The SSASCFA boss noted that “Bunu strategic foresight and ability to unify workers have ensured that the union remains a formidable force advocating for better working conditions, fair wages, and social justice for maritime workers nationwide.

“Comrade Bunu’s dedication extends beyond leadership; he is a tireless advocate for workers’ rights, continuously engaging with government stakeholders, maritime authorities, and private sector entities to articulate the needs and concerns of the union members.

” His skillful negotiation and steadfastness have resulted in significant improvements in policies affecting the maritime labour sector.His visionary approach to unionism has also promoted capacity building among members, encouraging skill development and education to empower maritime workers for the evolving demands of the industry.

“This focus on progress has enhanced not only the livelihoods of members but also the overall efficiency and competitiveness of the Nigerian maritime sector.As a respected brother in the labour movement, Comrade Bunu has cultivated a strong network of solidarity that transcends the maritime sector, fostering alliances that enhance the collective strength of workers in Nigeria.
