SIFAX Group Empowers Ogun Communities With New ICT Centre, Market Stalls, Recreational Facilities

SIFAX Group has once again demonstrated its commitment to community development by donating a range of impactful projects to the Isade-Elero and Pampa-Isade communities in Ogun State’s Ijebu North-East Local Government Area.

According to a statement on Tuesday, this initiative aims to enhance the social, economic, and spiritual wellbeing of the residents.

Among the newly commissioned facilities are the Chief Samson Afolabi Centre for Information and Technology Services—a 100-seat ICT resource hub—alongside the Isade Central Mosque, a Community Security Office (Elero Security Post), 27 open market stalls, and a modern recreational facility.

The Group Head of Corporate Communications, Olumuyiwa Akande, highlighted that these developments add to SIFAX Group’s long-standing efforts in the area, which include building a community health centre, seasonal road maintenance, and the St. Mark’s Church Auditorium and vicarage. These previous projects continue to provide vital support to the communities.

At the event held on September 13, 2025, Deacon Dr. Wale Afolabi, representing SIFAX Group Chairman Dr. Taiwo Afolabi, reaffirmed the Group’s dedication to grassroots development through initiatives spanning education, religion, trade, and security. He emphasized the Group’s mission to empower vulnerable populations via infrastructure, human capital growth, and economic opportunities.

Hon. Folusho Badejo, Chairman of Ijebu North-East LGA, praised the private sector’s role in complementing government efforts and expressed enthusiasm for the new market and ICT centre, projects aligned with local government aspirations.

The Baale of Isade-Elero, Chief Moses Sunday Odunuga, gratefully described the projects as “a prayer answered,” underscoring the positive impact of SIFAX Group’s sustained support.

The commissioning ceremony also featured cultural performances, poetry, and military parades, fostering a spirit of unity among community members of all faiths. Dignitaries included Major General S. A. Odunsi (Rtd.), Revd’ Canon Mathew Kolade, Chief Imam Rafiu Oluwakemi Lawal, and others.
