Shippers Council Cooperative Society Bags Lagos State Prestigious Award

The Nigerian Shippers’ Council Staff Multipurpose Cooperative Society has bagged the “Best Host Organization 2021 ” award from the Lagos State Ministry of Commerce ,Trade and Cooperative.

 

The award presentation which took place in Lagos, was presented to the council’s officials by the Hon. Commissioner for Transport, Lagos State Dr. Frederick Oladeinde .

Speaking during the presentation at the award ceremony put together by the Ministry in collaboration with the Lagos State Cooperative Federation, Oladeinde , commended the Nigerian Shippers Council Cooperative for the innovation and organized structure .

He further urged  executives of the Shippers Council Cooperative to keep up the good work in furtherance to attaining greater heights.

 

While receiving the award, President of the Cooperative Society of the council, Comrade Bashir Ambi said the award will serve as a morale booster to the NSC Staff Multipurpose Cooperative Society.

Ambi said: ” Although, we are unaware of the award, if not we will have closed the communication gap before the award which was given to us by Hon. Commissioner for Transport, Lagos State Dr. Frederick Oladeinde during the celebration of International Cooperative Day, 2021.

However, the  President described the cooperative society and  award as  a golden fish without hiding place.

He noted that “My views on the award is that it will serve as a morale booster to the NSC Staff Multipurpose Cooperative Society.”

Commenting on the award,  Ambi said “We appreciate the Director, Lagos State Cooperatives, Mrs Zulihat Ibrahim, our Area Officer of the Cooperative Mr Olusola Banjo of Apapa Area Office, Management of Nigerian Shippers Council, President of Apapa Multipurpose Cooperatives (AMCU)Mr Ayuba Ogunsanu, Trustees of the Shippers Council Staff Cooperative and members of NSC Staff Cooperative for this noble award and  we are indeed grateful to the organizers.
