Senator Eshilokun To Receive AMJON Lifetime Achievement Award
The Association of Maritime Journalists of Nigeria (AMJON) has announced that Senator Wasiu Eshilokun Sanni, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Marine Transport, will be presented with the group’s prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award for Legislative Excellence and Selflessness.
According to a statement, the award recognizes Senator Sanni’s outstanding contributions to legislative oversight, maritime development, and community empowerment. With a distinguished career spanning over two decades, Senator Sanni has demonstrated exceptional leadership and commitment to public service.

Eshilokun impressive background includes serving as: two-term Executive Chairman of Lagos Island LGA, three-term member of Lagos State House of Assembly, representing Lagos Island Constituency and two-term Deputy Speaker of Lagos State House of Assembly; and Senator representing Lagos Central Senatorial District in the 10th Assembly
The AMJON Lifetime Achievement Award is a testament to the Senator dedication to promoting maritime development and community empowerment. The award ceremony will take place on November 13, 2025, at Rockview Hotel, Apapa, Lagos.
