Security Agencies Nab Six Perpetrators Linked To Assault On Female Employee In Lagos

Following the viral post on social media concerning a lady assaulted by her employer, the officers of the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Agency (LNSA) and men of the Nigeria Police Force have arrested six suspects connected to the incident.

According to the viral post, the employee, a lady, who is a staff in a shop was seriously assaulted and injured by her boss and some of his staff for allegedly stealing from the shop.

In a swift response, operatives of the LNSA, in collaboration with the Police commenced a preliminary investigation and surveillance into the incident which ultimately led to the arrest of six suspects, including the employer of the lady who led the assault on her.

They were later handed over to the Lion Building Police Command for further investigation and possible prosecution.

Speaking on the development, the General Manager of the Lagos State Neighborhood Safety Agency, Prince Dr Ifalade Oyekan warned citizens to stop taking laws into their own hands and allow the justice system to work.

He said, “The Lagos Government has evolved a responsible and responsive judicial system that will assuage the desires of the citizens.

The Government of Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu has prioritised the security of lives and properties, and we should all let it work.”
