SCAMMERS: Shippers Council Raises Alarm Over Fake Facebook Page
The Nigerian Shipper’s Council has raised the alarm over impersonation of the Executive Secretary Mr Emmanuel Jime facebook page.
The council further distance itself from any form of investment or awarding contracts online or onsite, adding that neither does the ES/CEO, Emmanuel Jime.
According to the council’s verified facebook on Monday, the Council denounced the fraudulent and unscrupulous impersonation thus, alert the general public about the development as investigation about the fraudulent activity is already underway.
The statement added below:

“It has come to our notice that some unscrupulous persons are passing themselves off as representing or being affiliated with Shippers Council.
“They have been appropriating parts of our brand identity, as well as impersonating and taking on the photos and names of the company’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) with the intent to defraud people via Facebook by promising to award contracts. This user with the above details named “Emmanuel Lyambee Jime” and currently 301 friends is a FRAUD.
“For the avoidance of doubt, Shippers Council does not award contract online or onsite, neither does the ES/CEO, Emmanuel Jime. We do not solicit for nor accept money from anyone for investments, contracts or to participate in trading activities of any kind.
“We therefore denounce this fraudulent and unscrupulous impersonation and hereby alert the general public to this urgent situation. Investigation for these cases is already underway. Should you be contacted by these suspicious entities, please do not engage in any transaction with them, anyone who engages, does so at their own risk.
“Please report the user to Facebook using the following method:Click on the user profile ,then report profile, select “Fake Name”;And then select “pretending to be someone”, Select “a friend”.
