The International Transport Workers Federation (ITF) on Thursday, raised the alarm over two fake recruiting companies of seafarers’ aboard cruise liners.
The ITF in a statement called on seafarers’ not to apply via online recruitment site belonging to Allure Cruises and Imperial Cruises respectively.
It said “We have been alerted by seafarers’ that a scam is operating where there fake companies are offering non existing jobs and charging illegal fees.
According to ITF, the scammers are using the websites ; www.allurecruise.com and www.imperiacruise.com.

The Federation called on seafarers’ not to fall for such sites with fraudulent motive urging job seekers from the sub sector to contact jobscam@itf.org.uk before proceeding any further .
The statement reads:”SCAM ALERT: – Allure Cruises and Imperial Cruises are fake companies who offer non-existent jobs and charge illegal fees.
“If you have received any emails or messages from either of the companies, please contact us at jobscam@itf.org.uk before proceeding any further
“DON’T LET THE SCAMMERS WIN! Share this with your friends and colleagues”.
