SAFETY: LASWA Deploys Patrol Team To Ensure Compliance During Sallah

The Lagos State Waterways Authority (LASWA) said it deployed patrol team to monitor movement of boat operators along the waterways.

 

LASWA stated that in its official twitter handle ,@talktoLASWA over the weekend.

 

It called on waterways users to be safety conscious during the festivities and to further adhere strictly to safety rules and regulations on the inland waters

”We however urge all fun seekers, boat passengers, captains, deckhands and all waterways users  during this celebration to be safety conscious and adhere strictly to safety rules of the waterways at all times.

 

“They must not over speed, overload or drink alcohol while onboard a boat and more importantly life jackets must be worn and no one should sail at night for any reason.

 

“Our patrol team would be on standby as always to ensure compliance and monitoring.
