The Rivers State Government will flag off the construction of a new ultra modern Government House Jetty, tomorrow, July 7, 2021.
This was contained in a statement made available to newsmen by Paulinus Nsirim, the Commissioner for Information and Communications on Tuesday, July 6, 2021.
The old Jetty located at the Marine Base Area of the State capital has been dilapidated for so many years.
It is expected that the new Jetty when completed,will comprise Governor’s Boat Lounge, Marina, Navy Camp and other modern facilities.
Governor Nyesom Wike, will be the Chief Host at the event which will attract dignitaries from all walks of life.
The statement added that “Please note that all COVID-19 protocols will be observed at the venue.”
