President Buhari Reappoints Runsewe, Ahmed, Others 

President Muhammadu Buhari has reapproved the reappointment of the Director General National Council for Arts and Culture (NCAC) Otunba Segun Runsewe for another four years.

 

The President also reappointed some Chief Executives Officers under the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

 

Runsewe was appointed by the President in April 2016 and by the latest development, all the speculations and anxieties about the future of NCAC has been  put to rest.

Garba Shehu, the President Senior Special Assistant, Media and Publicity, announced on Friday, that the President found Runsewe worthy to continue the good work he is doing at NCAC and for Nigerian Culture.

The announcement also   captured some other appointments in the parastatals under the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

 

The statement further noted that the President also approved the reappointment of the following Chief Executive Officers for another term of four years.

 

 

They are : Mr Folorunso Coker, Director-General, Nigeria Tourism Development Corporation (NTDC) and Alhaji Adedayo Thomas, Executive Director National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB).

 

 

The President also approved the appointment of Alhaji Ahmed Mohammed Ahmed as the Chief Executive Officer /Artistic Director of the National Troupe of Nigeria.

Alhaji Ahmed was until his appointment, Director of Culture in the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Bauchi State.
