PHOTOS: US Coast Guard Tours Lekki Freeport Terminal

As part of measures to evaluate the condition of entry between the US and Nigeria on trade facilitation in line with the ISPS Code, delegations from the US Coast Guard with the ISPS Team from the Designated Authority (DA) visited Lekki Freeport Terminal on 20th March 2025.

During the visitation, they assessed LFT’s physical security mechanism, stakeholder engagement, documentation, vessel terminal interface, capacity building, and operational procedures in tandem in global maritime security standards.

LFT’s CEO, Mr Christophe Cassang, appreciated the visit of the US Coast Guard team and the DA – NIMASA to the terminal.

The US Coast Guard commended the systematic and professional presentation by LFT’s GM Government Relations & Security – Mr Fubara Awanta.

Lekki Freeport Terminal is a business entity in the CMA- CGM Group.
LFT is currently the only container terminal operator with a 45-year sub-concession agreement from Lekki Port, situated at the Lagos Free Zone.
