NSCDC To Arrest Illegal Private Security Practitioners

The Oyo State Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps(NSCDC) CC Iskilu Akinsanya said that the Command is set to arrest and prosecute illegal private guards companies operators and employees in the state.

Akinsanya made this known on Tuesday, at the State Command Headquarters Agodi Ibadan while handing over the operating License of Mr and Mrs Adekunle Elutilo of MOSES OLADEPO ELUTILO SECURITY OUTFIT IBADAN to them.

Commandant Akinsanya in a statement signed by Supt Oluwole Olusegun (CDPRO),
advise the new operator to attend State Chapter meetings of the Association of Licensed Private Security Practitioners of Nigeria (ALPSPN), to comply with the NSCDC regulations and renew their license as at when due in order not to face the wrath of law.

The State Commandant added that the task force on illegal private guards from Private Guard Company Department will be moving around the State to check Companies with expired license, or operating illegally in the State.

He advise the general public not to use or patronize illegal private guards in their homes and at the place of work to prevent insecurity and compromised.

“Give adequate information to NSCDC to curb crime in the state,”he said.
