NCMDLCA Accepts NAGAFF N50,000, Promises To Write Appreciation Letter

A faction of the National Council of Managing Director, Licensed Customs Agents (NCMDLCA) ,has lauded efforts of the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) for the N50,000 palliative, saying the Council would officially write to show appreciation.

While other associations in the freight forwarding practice had rejected the offers from NAGAFF , the council described the gesture as a laudable innovation in the fight against the Coronavirus pandemic.

Secretary General of the council ,Mazi Festus Ukwu who disclosed this on Thursday, in a chat with our correspondent maintained that the gesture from NAGAFF is acceptable irrespective of the amount involved.

Asked if the council is not ashamed to receive the N50,000 in question, Ukwu stressed that the association is not asking for any form of palliative from anybody but added that the offer from NAGAFF is in the right direction.

According to him, “God loves a cheerful giver and we will continue to appreciate what NAGAFF has done. Infact we have written appreciation letter to that effect because the chairman Board of Trustee of our Association is in the know about the donation from NAGAFF.”

It depends on your own interest and management for those who rejected the offers but we in the council cannot reject an offer and we will continue support anything that is good for humanity therefore we will thank Dr. Aniebonam and NAGAFF management for the commended initiative.

Recall that the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA), National Association of Air Freight Forwarders Consolidators (NAFFAC) and Association of Registered Freight Forwarders of Nigeria (AREFFN) rejected the palliative.
