Navy FOB Deactivates 6 Illegal Refineries In Delta ,Seizes 11,000 Litres Of Stolen Crude Oil

As part of the ongoing efforts to boost Nigeria’s daily crude oil output and combat economic sabotage, operatives of the Nigerian Navy attached to the Forward Operating Base (FOB) Escravos, in Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta state have deactivated six illegal refining sites.

The operation which is said to have been a coordinated one, led to the seizure of over eleven thousand liters of stolen crude oil discovered in dug out pits, as well as in Polythene sacks at the Delta community of Obodo-Omadino.

The FOB Escravos which is under the leadership of the Commanding Officer Navy Captain Ikenna Okoloagu, led to the additional recovery of thousands of liters of stolen crude oil and operational equipment.

According to the Commanding Officer is in line with the strategic directives of the Chief of the Naval Staff Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla which emphasizes sustained pressure on economic saboteurs.

Meanwhile, the Nigerian Navy FOB promised to sustain the fight against oil theft, while also reiterating its zero tolerance on criminal activities in the region.
