Nasarawa: Gov Sule Suspends Chairman Teachers Commission Orders Thorough investigation.

The Nasarawa State Governor Engr. Abdullahi Sule has ordered the immediate suspension of the Chairman and members of the Nasarawa State Teachers Service Commission following an illegal recruitment of over 1000 teachers in the state.

Recall that the Governor had earlier directed that the 1000 teachers duly recruited be paid all their entitlements.

Worried by out cry from members of the public in the state over alleged non payment of salaries, Governor Sule summoned a meeting of members of the TSC, Commissioner and other officials of the State Ministry of Education.

According to a statement on Monday, during their submissions at the meeting held at the government House, the members of the Teachers Service Commission admitted to employing over one thousand teachers without due approval.

Governor Abdullahi Sule has also ordered for the setting up of a committee to investigate the illegal recruitment and submit a comprehensive report for further action.
