NAGAFF Elders Council Elects Prince Nwachukwu As Chairman

The National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) Elders Council has elected Prince IG Nwachukwu as pioneer chairman.

With (41 votes) with total of 52 votes, Nwachukwu emerged winner in the landslide victory election against Goodluck Onunji (9.votes) and Raphael Nwoye (2 votes) respectively .

The elections which held on Tuesday at the NAGAFF national secretariat in Apapa Lagos,saw Agim John winning the position of Secretary with 32 votes against Dr. Clement Iwegbuna who scored 21 votes.

Ezenwa Anthony Uchenna won the position of Vice Chairman unopposed.

Other contested positions include Financial Secretary won by Ohanyere Chinedu with 31 votes against the loser Isiaja Nworgu who scored 22 votes.

Treasurer position was clinched by Dilibe Raphael with 26 votes, against Patrick Ogbo (15) and Chamberlin Oguezue (9) respectively.

Amaobi Echeogu won the position of Assistant Secretary unopposed with 55 votes while Public Relations Officer / Welfare, clinched by A.C Mbube was also unopposed at the poll.

Speaking, shortly after the election, newly elected chairman of the Elders Council of NAGAFF, Prince IG Nwachukwu congratulated other contestants for their resilience and courage of contesting the top position

He disclosed plans to establish the elders council ‘s chapters pledging the maiden election which brought him to office was a clear indication to deliver on his mandates.

Nwachukwu further commended the founder and President of NAGAFF, Dr. Boniface Aniebonam and Tochukwu Ezisi for the support adding that the initiative would cater of the senior members of the association

Also speaking, President of NAGAFF, Tochukwu Ezisi expressed satisfaction over the outcome of the election, even as he described it as free and fair.

Ezisi stated that the elected elders will bring their wealth of experience in advisory capacity in furtherance to assisting management of the association in issues bothering on the industry and other sundry affairs.
