NAF Moves To Investigate Cause Of Fighter Jet Crash 

Sequel to Wednesday’s fighter jet crash  at Kastina Airport, the Chief of Air Staff,  Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar has directed the immediate constitution of a Board of Inquiry to determine the exact cause of the incident.

The directive was part of effort to unravel the remote and immediate cause of the Nigerian Air Force fighter Jet that crash landed in the process of landing  , while returning from an anti-armed banditry combat mission in the Northwest theatre under Operation Hadaran Daji.

Director of Public Relations and Information, Nigerian Air Force, Air Commodore Ibikunle Daramola who announced the tragic mishap said that details of the cause of the incident are still scanty.

Daramola added that no life, either of persons on board the helicopter or on the ground was lost during the unfortunate crash.

While appealing for the continued understanding and support of the public, the spokesperson assured that the service will always strive to ensure the security of Nigeria and Nigerians.

Recall that a Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Helicopter crashed in the process of landing while returning from an anti-armed banditry combat mission in the Northwest Theatre under Operation HADARAN DAJI.

According to a statement on the official NAF website, @NigAirForce, stated that details of the cause of the incident, which occurred at the Katsina Airport at about 3.30pm today, 12 June 2019, were still scanty.

It however informed that there was no loss of life, either of persons on board the helicopter or on the ground.

The statement added that the Chief of Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sadiq Abubakar had immediately directed the constitution of a Board of Inquiry to determine the exact cause of the incident.
