MWUN Hails Hon. Oyetola For Securing Nigeria’s Prestigious IMO Council Seat

The Maritime Workers’ Union of Nigeria (MWUN), led by President-General Comrade Francis Bunu Abi, has extended hearty congratulations to the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Honourable Adegboyega Oyetola, on Nigeria’s successful election to the International Maritime Organization (IMO) category ‘C’ council seat.

According to a statement, over the weekend, signed, by Comrade John Kennedy Ikemefuna, Head of Media, MWUN, the milestone marks a significant triumph for Nigeria and its maritime industry.

Comrade Bunu praised Minister Oyetola for elevating Nigeria’s standing among global maritime nations, highlighting the Minister’s relentless hard work, dedication, and strategic leadership.

The MWUN leader also commended Nigerian Ports Authority Managing Director, Dr. Abubakar Dantsoho, for his dedication, emphasizing that such collaborative efforts within maritime regulatory bodies will propel the industry to new heights.

Veteran sailor and maritime administrator further acknowledged Hon. Oyetola’s profound expertise, noting that this achievement shines a positive international spotlight on Nigeria’s maritime sector, raising its global standards.E-
