MWUN Calls On Labour Leaders To Ensure Women’s Participation In Union Activities
The President General, Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN),Comrade Adewale Adeyanju has called on labour leaders to ensure that women are duly represented in their respective union’s activities and administration.
Adeyanju disclosed this in a statement on Monday , in commemoration of the World International Women’s Day celebration.
The labour leader said women play key roles in any organisational structure thus must be appreciated for their contribution to nation building.
He said “I on behalf of Maritime workers Union of Nigeria felicitate and stand in solidarity with all our women as they observe world international women day. Indeed strong women make stronger unions.

The World International Women’s Day celebration is an annual event that holds on March 8th .
