MWUN Appoints Comrade Adele As New General Secretary, Dockworkers Branch
The Maritime Workers’ Union of Nigeria (MWUN) under the leadership of Comrade Adewale Adeyanju has appointed Comrade Matthew Adele as the new scribe of Dockworkers Branch.
Adele takes over from Comrade Adebisi Ogedengbe.
Before the new appointment, Comrade Adele was the General Secretary of Shipping Branch , MWUN.
The frontline docker who has over two decades Secretariat and administrative skills, will bring his wealth of experience to serve the branch towards the union’s upliftment .

Adele holds a Master degree in international Relations and Strategic Studies ; and also a diploma in French Studies from Alliance Francais.
He also obtained Bsc in History and International Relations from Lagos State University.
He is also a fellow of the Michael Imoudu National Institute For Labour Studies,.Kwara State.
Born in Kano State, he speaks Yoruba, Hausa, English and French languages fluently.
He served as Organizing Secretary of RORO District ; Secretary, RORO District , and Assistant General Secretary Shipping Branch .
His hobbies include – reading, volleyball and lawn tennis.
Adele is married with two children and he hails from Lagos State.
