More Than Three Members Of My Family Contracted Coronavirus—– Gov. Okowa

The Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa has recounted his experience with #COVID19 and disclosed that more than three members of his family also contracted the virus.

The Governor stated this during a family thanksgiving service at the Government House Chapel in Asaba.

Governor Okowa further reiterated that #COVID19 is real, while stating that the best way to avoid contracting the virus is for citizens and residents to abide by the prescribed protocols.

Governor Okowa also thanked Deltans and Nigerians for their prayers during his isolation, urging them to remain safe during the pandemic.

Recall that the Delta State Government had announced that Governor , his wife, Edith Okowa and their daughter tested negative for #COVID19.

The Governor and his wife had tested positive for the virus on July 1st 2020 and went into isolation for treatment, while their daughter had tested positive a few days earlier.

The state also disclosed that a total of 6 new confirmed cases of the Coronavirus, while 8 patients have been discharged and 2 new recorded deaths.
