Ministry, Union Join Forces To Promote Nigeria’s Aviation Future 

In a bold and historic move, the Federal Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development has forged an unprecedented alliance with the Joint Consultative and Negotiating Council (JCNC) to revolutionize Nigeria’s aviation sector.

On Tuesday, August 26, 2025, the dynamic Mid-Year Workers and Stakeholders Sensitization Programme rocked Merit House, Abuja, under the electrifying theme: “Strategic Management–Labour Collaboration: A Veritable Platform for Achieving the Aviation Ministerial Mandate.”

Permanent Secretary Dr. Ibrahim Abubakar Kana electrified the gathering by unveiling a visionary plan to modernize the Ministry with state-of-the-art digital tools and a stable power supply, signaling the dawn of a new era for aviation management in Nigeria.

He promised to unlock fresh opportunities for staff training, both locally and internationally, sparking waves of enthusiasm across the workforce.

“This is our moment to break barriers and rewrite the script,” Dr. Kana declared. “Together, management and labour will pilot Nigeria’s aviation sector to enviable heights.”

Human Resource Director Mr. Sani Bello Torankawa who championed the theme’s powerful message, highlighting collaboration as the engine accelerating the Ministry’s ambitious five-point objectives. “Only through unity can we unleash the full potential of our aviation agenda,” he asserted.

JCNC chairman Comrade Hector Nnadi fired up the crowd, urging workers to replace conflict with constructive dialogue and confrontational politics with shared progress. “This collaboration signals the birth of Nigeria’s strongest, fairest, and most efficient aviation era yet,” he proclaimed.

The event also featured an inspiring presentation by Dr. Henry Igbinomwanhia, who underscored the indispensable role of teamwork in unlocking the Ministry’s promise.
