Micura Services Limited, on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 bagged the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) “Best Stevedoring Company for the year” award.

Micura is a frontline player in Nigeria’s stevedoring industry, with about two decades of operations in the nation’s port terminal .

The prestigious recognition was presented during the 2024 Dockworkers Day celebration at the NPA Sports Ground, Surulere, Lagos.

Comrade Adewale Adeyanju PG MWUN, presenting the award to Managing Director Micura Services Limited,Chief Orobosa Michael Ubogu during the dockworkers day celebration held in Lagos.

 

The award was handed over to the MD/CEO of Micura Services Limited, Dr. Michael Orobosa Ubogu, by the President General of the Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN), Prince (Dr.) Adewale Adeyanju.

A cross section of maritime stakeholders at the event described the award bagged by the foremost stevedoring company as long overdue following its contributions to nation building and employment of labour.
