Matawalle Provides N1.4bn For Zamfara State House Of Assembly 

The Zamfara State Executive Governor Hon. Dr. Bello Mohammed Matawalle  has provided a 1.4 Billion Naira House of Assembly Project executed by his administration and assuring that his government will continue to work closely and in harmony with the state’s legislative arm for the foreseeable future and benefit of the people of Zamfara State and the nation’s democracy.

 

He made this known through ,Director General, Media , Public Enlightenment and Communications, Yusuf Gusua in a statement.

 

 

In his address at the commissioning of the new ultra modern Zamfara state House of Assembly initiated and constructed to completion by his administration at the cost of N1,403,011,985.89.

The State House of Assembly Complex commissioning which was performed by Governor Aminu Bello Masari of Katsina state comprised among others an administrative block, House Chamber, committee rooms, restaurant, filling station, clinic, mosque, and wall fence.

Matawalle, a one time federal legislator said the provision of the modern Assembly Complex in the state was necessitated in realization that the law makers were housed in delapidated structure and the need to provide for them a serene enviroment that would give them the much needed atmosphere and state of mind to provide laws most benefial to the teeming population of the state.

According to him, for the House to effectively perform its legislative and oversight functions, it is vital that a conducive working environment is provided which commissioning is part of series of events packaged to commemorate the 2nd anniversary of the Shattiman Sakkwato-led administration in the state.

 

He thanked governor Masari, a former Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives for accepting the state’s invitation to play the significant role of commissioning the law making agency.

 

The Matawallen Maradun charged the state legislators to redouble their efforts to come up with effective legislations that will further improve Zamfara people’s wellbeing.

The commisioning ceremony was attended by the Speaker, Zamfara State House of Assembly, Hon. Nasiru Maazu Magarya, Acting Secretary to the State Government and the State Head of Service, Alhaji Kabiru Balarabe, Former Deputy Governors Mallam Ibrahim Wakkala Muhammad and Hon Muktar Ahmad Anka, Honorary advisors to the Governor Ambassador Bashir Yuguda Gusau and Hon Sani Abdullahi Shinkafi, PDP State Chairman, Alhaji Tukur Umar Danfulani, Emirs of Anka, Gusau,  Bungudu and Talata Mafara, Members of the State House of Assembly, Special Advisers, Permanent Secretaries and Directors General among others
