Maritime Workers Commends DG NIMASA For  Biometric ID, Cadets Training , CBA, Others

The Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN) has commended the Director General,Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) , Dr. Bashir Jamoh for the numerous support and cordial working relationship for sector growth.

President General MWUN, Comrade Adewale Adeyanju who gave these commendations in a statement on Tuesday, pointed out that the union remains impressed by the extra energy the DG of NIMASA has contributed to grow the sector.

While forging commendable pathways and moulding fountains of hope ,  Comrade Adeyanju  acknowledged Dr. jamoh’s milestones achievements  and benefits for MWUN, which include the issuance of biometric identity cards for workers, Collective Bargaining Agreement CBA, deep blue assets project, cadet training both internationally and locally and advancement of Corporate Social Responsibility (CRS) projects.

He said “I wish to convey to you and your executive team the commendation of Workers Union of Nigeria’s leadership as you continue to amaze us with your talent and dedication to work, people and ideas, because of which maritime administration and safety has been elevated to global standards.

Indeed, we acknowledge your personal milestones and are honoured to partner with you in the goal of growing the Nigeria maritime sub sector to greater heights.

“Your pedigree marks you out as protector of the oppressed, a messenger of truth and a carrier of faith, hope and wisdom. You motivate us as a Union and because of this we are better and more prepared, we recognize your commitment to enthroning the tenets of blue economy, staying true to issuance of our biometric identity card, cadet training both internationally and locally and advancing your corporate social responsibility projects to impact positively on Nigerians which to say the least, is most laudable. Indeed you have raised the level of performance beyond expectations.

According to the President General, Jamoh’s sterling management style has resulted in improved welfare package for staff/workers even without agitation from the Union noting that “This good gesture is a testifier to the goodness of your person, therefore the joy you have put into the lives of your friends, coworkers and ports users will infuse your life Indeed, your professionalism and general candour is a clear pointer to your efficiency and regard for standards and procedure.
