Maersk Line , Cosco Top 2018 Most Complaint Shipping Coy In Nigeria

World shipping giant Maerskline has been ranked most non compliance shipping company operating in Nigeria for the second quarter of 2018.

 

This was contained in a statistical data made available to DAILYFOCUS NEWS ONLINE, by the Nigerian Shippers Council (NSC),recently.

The data analysis tagged “Q2 2018 Complaint Analysis on Shipping Companies, revealed that Danish carrier topped the chart with an overall 30% closely followed by Cosco Shipping Lines with 20%

 

Others include : Grimaldi Agency Limited with 14%, CMA CGM 10% ,while Hull Blyth and United Arab Shipping Company both had 7% respectively.

Similarly, GAC/Hapag Lloyd Shipping, Comet Shipping Agency,PIL and MSC Shipping all had 3% respectively.

 

Some of the complaints include; Arbitrary charges, cargo loss , containers deposit refund , inadequate holding bay and demurrage waiver.

 

Others include: import and export fraud, commercial dispute , wrong documentation and royalty charges.

 

While highlighting some of the complaints by the council’s data for the period under review; Maerskline further scored a total of 9 points on complaints recorded in the chart , while Cosco Shipping lines had 6points , followed by Grimaldi Agency Limited with 4%.

CMA CGM had 3points.

 

Hull Blyte Nigeria, United Arab Shipping Company, scored 2points each, while PIL,MSC Shipping and Comet Shipping Agency all scored 1% each.
