LASG Issues Seven Days Ultimatum To Roadside Traders Over Traffic Obstruction

The Lagos State Government has issued seven days ultimatum to roadside  traders, transporters and others obstructing vehicular movement in some areas of the state.

 

The Babajide Sanwo – Olu government further  called on the informal sector operators to vacate all roadsides or face the wrath of the law.

 

The government said at the expiration of the deadline, enforcement would begin immediately to decongest the areas in a bid to free up traffic.

The Commissioner for Transportation, Dr Frederic Oladeinde gave the directive at a stakeholders meeting on traffic management intervention of government in Ikeja.

Oladeinde who was represented by the Permanent Secretary in the ministry Olawale Musa disclosed that the abatement notice becomes effective from Friday,4th October and will expire on Friday,11th October 2019.

 

The affected areas include: Ikotun,Iyana Ipaja,Yaba and Ikorodu.

 

Others are : Ketu,Lekki and Ajah respectively.
