The Lagos State Electricity Board (LSEB) has completed the installation of Smart Solar All-In-One Streetlights along Governor’s Road, Ikotun, as part of the government’s commitment to sustainable and energy-efficient infrastructure development.
This initiative underscores the administration’s determination to enhance public safety, improve road visibility, and promote environmental sustainability across Lagos State.
The newly installed Smart Solar All-In-One Streetlights incorporate advanced solar technology with energy-efficient LED fixtures, providing a sustainable lighting solution powered entirely by renewable energy. The lights are designed to operate autonomously, equipped with motion sensors and remote monitoring capabilities, ensuring optimized performance and minimal maintenance requirements.
The project demonstrates the state’s drive to adopt innovative technologies that align with global energy sustainability standards.
Speaking on the completion of the project, Engr. K.A.T. Balogun, General Manager of the Lagos State Electricity Board, emphasised the Board’s commitment to improving infrastructure through clean energy solutions.
He said : “The installation of Smart Solar All-In-One Streetlights on Governor’s Road is a significant step in our mission to build a more sustainable and energy-efficient Lagos. This project is part of a broader initiative to enhance public safety and provide environmentally friendly lighting solutions that benefit all residents.”
