LASG Announces 12 Weeks Traffic Diversion On Marine Bridge For Maintenance Work
The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversion on Marine Bridge for repair work from Wednesday, 4th December, 2024 to Tuesday, 25th February, 2025.
This was contained in a statement by Mr. Oluwaseun Osiyemi, Commissioner for Transportation, Lagos State over the weekend.
Osiyemi noted that during the repair works, motorists are enjoined to use alternative routes saying ” Motorists from Apapa inward Lagos Island are advised to go through Costain Roundabout to link Eko Bridge and connect Lagos Island for their desired destinations.
“Or from Apapa, Motorists may link Ijora 7up through Marine Bridge to access the ramp to connect Ijora Causeway Access Road through Ijora Oloye to Ijora Causeway to link Eko Bridge to connect Lagos Island for their desired destinations.
According to the advisory, “Motorists from Apapa inward Ijora Causeway/Iddo are advised to link Costain Roundabout to access Eko Bridge and connect Ijora Causeway to access the ramp through the U-turn to link Iddo for their desired destinations.
“Or from Apapa, Motorists can also link Ijora 7up through Marine Bridge to access the ramp to link Ijora Causeway Access Road through Ijora Oloye to connect Ijora Causeway to Iddo for their desired destinations.
He noted that for this period, motorists on the other side from Costain Roundabout will have through traffic inbound Apapa.
“Motorists are implored to be patient as the diversion is part of the traffic management plans for the rehabilitation works on the asphalt pavement of the road section by the Federal Ministry of Works (Office of the Federal Con
troller, Lagos).”
