LAGOS: Toriola Assumed Duty As Permanent Secretary M.O.T

Engr. Abdulhafiz Gbolahan Toriola has officially assumed duties as the new Permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Ministry of Transportation (M.O.T).

Addressing the management and staff, the new Permanent Secretary in a statement, thanked his outgoing counterpart for his commitment and dedication to the smooth running of the Ministry, assuring everyone of building on the legacy of his predecessor to improve the work environment towards achieving the mandate of the Ministry.

While soliciting the support of the management and staff, Toriola emphasised that their total support and cooperation are crucial to achieving all set goals and targets.

“I am fully ready to work to avoid unnecessary delay in the business of governance, we have to hit the ground running”, he said.

Earlier, the Outgoing Permanent Secretary, Mr. Kamar Olowoshago, reiterated that Traffic Management and Transportation is on the front burner of the administration of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, urging the management and staff to give the new PS maximum support and cooperation to move the Ministry forward.

Olowoshago also extended appreciation to the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, for his support at all times.

Engr Toriola, former Director of Transport Operations in the Ministry, was recently appointed Permanent Secretary alongside eight others by the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

With the new appointment, he takes over from Mr. Kamar Olowoshago, who has been redeployed as the Permanent Secretary to the Ministry of Housing.
