Lagos Health District IV Welcomes New Attendants With Ethics-Focused Onboarding

The Lagos State Health District IV has successfully onboarded its newly recruited health attendants and assistants into public service.

Dr. Abimbola Bowale, Permanent Secretary of Lagos State Health District IV, disclosed at a programme held on February 4, 2026, at Senator Oluremi Tinubu Hall in Surulere Local Government.

Bowale who was represented by Mrs. Titilola Seriki, Director of Administration and Human Resources, noted that the exercise will help build public trust, prevent misconduct, guide proper conduct, and promote good governance.

She highlighted that the onboarding exercise addresses growing skepticism about civil service performance across many states.

Mrs. Titilola Seriki also guided the new recruits on completing the Lagos State Government Staff Performance Appraisal and Development Report at various levels.

The session aimed to instill civil service ethics—core moral principles like honesty, integrity, accountability, and loyalty to public interest over personal gain.

Participants explored the civil service code of ethics, which outlines professional standards for public officials.

Key principles include accountability, honesty, impartiality, prioritizing public interest, lawful duty performance, fair treatment of people, avoiding conflicts of interest, and serving with diligence and respect.
