Kwara Gov Names White Paper Committee On Sales Of Public Assets

Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has appointed a seven-person White Paper Committee on the Commission of Inquiry into sales, disposal and unlawful acquisition of Kwara State Government properties between 29th May 1999 and 29th May 2019, a statement said.

 

Members of the committee are prominent lawyer Barrister Husseini Buhari (chairman); retired federal civil servant Joel Olusola Oladipo; Hajia Aisha Muhammed; Hon. Olabode Towoju; estate valuer Muri Adi; retired federal civil servant Funmilayo Gold; and Assistant Director Mayaki Babadzuko Madu (Secretary).

 

The Governor has also appointed Mr. Ishiak Yakubu Sannu, a community health expert with over three decades of professional experience, as chairman of the Kwara State College of Health Technology, Offa, according to the statement by Chief Press Secretary to the Governor Rafiu Ajakaye.

Sannu is from Baruten local government.

 

The statement said the Governor has similarly approved the appointment of a six-person board for the Kwara State Printing and Publishing Corporation,  of the Herald newspapers.

 

Members of the (Herald) board are Alhaji Tunde Bamidele Aluko (Chairman, Ilorin West); Opoola Babatunde (Offa, member); Adamu Ibrahim Sabi (Baruten, member);  Khadijat Nda Saadu (Ilorin East, member); Falowo Josephine (Isin, member); and Rufus Akano (Moro, member).
