An Appeal Court sitting in Osun state has ruled in favor of Osun state Governor, Gboyega Oyetola, in the 2018 governorship elections.
Recall that the election petition tribunal had earlier ruled in favor of Senator Ademola Adeleke.
The election tribunal judgment had earlier ruled in favour of Senator Ademola Adeleke winner.
Oyetola, his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had filed substantive appeals, seeking the setting aside of the decision of the tribunal.
Adeleke had also filed a cross-appeal, challenging a portion of the decision.
It was gathered that the lead judgement was read by Justice Jummai Hannatu Sankey. There was also a dissenting judgement from one of the judges on the panel, but majority favoured Oyetola.
