JUST IN: Hadiza Bala Usman Elected IMO Vice Chairperson

The Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority [NPA], Hadiza Bala Usman has been elected as Vice-Chairperson of the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) Facilitation Committee (FAL) at the 43rd session currently holding in London.

The news of the appointment was broken by NPA on its official Twitter account.

The International Maritime Organization is the UN agency that leads international efforts to promote safer shipping on cleaner oceans.

The twitter account reads thus “Managing Director @hadizabalausman has been elected as Vice-Chair of the @IMOHQ Facilitation Committee (FAL) at the 43rd session of the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) currently holding in London.
