JUST IN: Ex- Lagos Deputy Governor, Adebule Defeats Obanikoro, Opeifa To Emerge Lagos West APC Senatorial Candidate 

Former Lagos Deputy Governor, Dr Idiat Oluranti Adebule has emerged winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Lagos West Senatorial District election.

 

Of the 557 total votes cast, Adebule who served Deputy Governor to former Governor Akinwunmi Ambode polled 424 to defeat Senator Musiliu Obanikoro and former Lagos State Commissioner for Transportation, Dr Kayode Opeifa.

 

A breakdown of the election which was held today at Agege Stadium is as follows:

Total number of vote             = 557

 

Void votes                                 = 10

Meanwhile, the Deputy Speaker of Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Wasiu Eshinlokun-Sanni, has won the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket for the Lagos Central Senatorial District.

 

At the primary election conducted on Saturday, 28 May, 2022, Eshinlokun-Sanni scored 185 delegate votes to beat his closest rival, the Ambassador of Nigeria to Spain, Ademola Seriki who polled 97 delegate votes.

Hakeem Apatira came a distant third taking 22 delegate votes.

 

The exercise , which took place at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, Lagos, was free, fair and devoid of rancour.
