JUST IN : Court Sacks Sen.Ifeanyi Ubah

A federal High Court sitting in Kubwa, Abuja has reaffirmed its earlier order sacking Ifeanyi Ubah as the representative of Anambra South Senatorial District.

The reaffirmation of the sack of the candidate of the Young Peoples Party (YPP) in the February 23, 2019 election was made by Justice Bello Kawu on Friday.

Ubah had gone before Kawu to seek the setting aside of his earlier order of April 11, 2019.

The judge had on April 11, 2019 sacked Ubah for allegedly submitting a forged National Examination Council certificate to stand for the election.

He then ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission to withdraw the certificate of return issued to Ubah and issue a fresh one Dr. Obinna Uzoh of the Peoples Democratic Party, who came second in the election.

The court also ordered INEC to withdraw his certificate of return.

 Ubah was alleged to have used forged NECO certificate to contest the election.

A lawmaker representing Anambra south at the Senate has lost the appeal to rescind the court judgement that nullified his election into the National Assembly.
