Jigawa Govt To Launch 2.5m Tree Plantation 

The Jigawa state Governor Alhaji Muhammad Badaru Abubakar is expected to launch 2.5 million seedlings and mass tree plantation on Monday (tomorrow) at Andaza, Kiyawa local government area.

According to the statement on Sunday, Governor Badaru  has made it a tradition to plant trees in each an every event the state government organizes and  his administration has so far provided over ten million trees across the state in an attempt to have a cleaner environment in the Jigawa.
Recently, the Minister of Agriculture Alhaji Sabo Nanono flagged off the planting Gawo tree in Jigawa state which is aimed at providing an alternative to chemical application of fertilizer in farmlands.
However, the state Governor Badaru said priority will be given in the production fertilizer tree seedlings which would be distributed to farmers across the state.
