Jigawa Govt To Invite Experts From Netherlands In Tackling Flood

The Executive Governor of Jigawa State Alhaji Mohammed Badaru Abubakar MON, mni has invited experts from KWT Group who are known for their expertise in water control for over thirty years from the Netherlands.

Jigawa state has year after year experienced perennial flooding which usually resulted in many lost lives, cost destruction of farmland, and displaced thousands.

In recent times the Nigerian Metrological Agency NIMET has predicted that some parts of the state will experience flash flooding which will be as a result of heavy downpour.

As part of his activities in his working visit to Netherlands, the Jigawa state government had a strategic meeting with the experts working with KWT group to find a lasting solution to the issue and later visited some places where they are presently working on a similar project.
