ITF , ETF Set Up Solidarity Fund To Support Ukraine Transport Workers

The International Transport Workers’ Federation (ITF) and European Transport Workers’ Federation (ETF) have set up a solidarity fund to support the activities run by transport unions in Ukraine to benefit those affected by the war.‍
ITF said in a statement on Thursday, May 19th 2022.

“Our affiliates in Ukraine, the Marine Transport Workers’ Trade Union of Ukraine (MTWTU), the Trade Union of Railwaymen and Transport Constructors of Ukraine (TURTCU) and the Ukrainian Free Trade Union of Locomotive Engineers (VPMU) will disperse humanitarian aid to transport workers and families who are most in need.
“‍Donors will receive no direct benefit.‍
“Your generous gift will help us towards our efforts to support transport workers and their families affected by war”,the statement added.
