Ijaw National Congress Electoral Body Releases List Of Harry Tonye Led Executives

Newly elected Chairman,Ijaw National Congress INC Lagos Chapter,Comrade Harry Tonye Leonard

Sequel to the Deputy President,Maritime Workers’ Union of Nigeria (MWUN), Comrade Harry Tonye Leonard successful election as Chairman of the Ijaw National Congress (INC) Lagos Chapter, the electoral body by has released the full list of executives

Recall that Tonye won in a keenly contested elections held on Saturday at the National Theater Complex in Lagos.

The maritime expert won the top position against Mr. Douglas West in a keenly contested elections.

Four positions were keenly contested in the INC Lagos Chapter elections which were : chairman,vice chairman, financial secretary and Organising Secretary.

ELECO in the list said the new elected executives of INC Lagos Chapter has Chairman- Tonye Leonard Harry (Eastern zone), Vice Chairman- Matawa Yinkere Harry (Western zone), Secretary- Elayelagha Golden Ambakederemo (Central) and Financial Secretary- Abraham Gillet Okponimibofa (Central zone).

Others are – Treasurer- Arepade Odimowei Corson (Western zone), Publicity Secretary- Henry Elijah Gabriel (Eastern zone), Legal Adviser- Paul Tam Kurekure (ESQ.) (Western zone) and Organising Secretary- Bodiesere Sarah Jacob (Central zone).

While the new Auditor is Mary Ebinimie Ayakpo (Central zone), Assistant Secretary- was won by Sogules Ere Howell- (Eastern zone) with Ex. Officio- Formal Chairman, Pastor Dio Ebitimi Posibi.

The election was adjudged peaceful, free and fair .

Delegates and observers described the election as one of best in the history of the INC Lagos chapter.

According to the ELECO Chairman Mawari Erepatei Esq and Secretary Peremodboere Blessing Udisi, the electoral body also stated that date of inauguration shall be announced as soon as possible.

The election was witnessed by dignitaries from the three centrals of IJAW Kingdoms which include F.J Williams- INC vice president, INC Nec Observer, Chief Benamiesegha- Former INC president- Independent Observer
Chief Barr, Donald A.K Horsfall- Independent Observer,Alaere Barr, Churchere Komonibo- Formal INC chairperson, Lagos chapter; INC Lagos Chapter returning officer.

The Comrade Harry Tonye led newly elected executives are to run the affairs of the Congress for another three years.
