The Ijebu Freight Forwarders Association ( IFFA) , has officially inaugurated the newly elected executive members of Muritala Mohammed International Airport (MMIA) Command Chapter , Lagos .
The inauguration ceremony was witnessed by MMIA Chapters chairmen of other major associations which include the Association of Nigeria Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) , National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders ( NAGAFF) and APFFLON..
The new executives also took oath of office on Wednesday 11 August 2021 at ANLCA Secretariat , Hajji Camp, NACHO :
They include Abass Ariyo as chairman of MMIA Chapter IFFA and Adeniyi Olori as Vice Chairman respectively.
Others are Rasaki Owen (General Secretary),Lukmon Adebanjo as (Assistant Secretary), Mukaila Yusuf (Treasurer),Tosin Adesanya (Financial Secretary).
The executives also have Muritala Atekoja as (Social Secretary),Quadri Olorunfunmi (Public Relations Officer) and Tunde Ogunsanya as (Chief Whip).
The newly elected chairman of IFFA, Mr Ariyo Abass, in his acceptance and welcoming address ; enjoined members of the socio cultural group at the chapter to thrive for excellence in the freight forwarding profession as part of promoting international trade and for the interest of the nation’s economy.
Urging his chapter to uphold and sustain professionalism in the sub sector of the industry, he said : “Every IFFA members should always thrive for excellence and keep up the good work for the nation’s development in the interest of upcoming generation in the freight forwarding industry in Nigeria.
He also solicited the supports from IFFA members , even as he harped on the need for the practitioners to embrace unity and peaceful coexistence among other freight forwarding associations at MMIA .
He assured members that their future and that of IFFA is bright with prayer, diligence and patient needed regardless of the depressed economy.
Earlier , In the opening a Board of Trustee (BOT) member , Mr Jimi Olajide IFFA) called on his professional colleagues to play by the rules of engagement in the freight forwarding practice and work in unity with other stakeholders in the maritime industry , in furtherance to keep enhancing international trade and economy development of the nation..
Jimi spoke on behalf of the BOT chairman of IFFA.
IFFA is a socio cultural freight forwarding group of practitioners and was established in 1986 , with patronage of Ijebu indigines in the maritime/ aviation freight forwarding business in Nigeria.
