Idimogu Tasks Christians To Embrace Love , Tolerance, Sacrifice At Easter
Hon. Jude Chukwuemeka Idimogu, Member Lagos State House of Assembly, has enjoined Christians all over the country to pray for peace, love and unity as they celebrate the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, urging them to make sacrifices for unity, peace, tolerance and progress of the nation.
Idimogu, according to his Easter message signed by SA on Media and Publicity, Mr Henry Uzodinma, called on the Christians to seize the opportunity of the Easter celebration to reflect deeply on unity, stability and the continues movement of our country towards a better future for all the citizens.
The statement read in part, “With profound enthusiasm, I write to convey my congratulatory message to our Christian brothers and sisters, as we celebrate Easter in commemoration of the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ”.
“The major lessons of Easter which we celebrate focuses on the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, the author and finisher of our faith, who sacrificed himself on the Cross for the redemption of mankind.
“We shall continue to remain resolute and make sacrifices that would place our country on the upward trajectory” Idimogu intoned.
The lawmaker further said, We must seize this opportunity of the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, to reflect deeply on what more we need to do as a people, to ensure that there is peace and unity amongst ourselves, because there will be no meaningful development in any place where there is rancor and acrimony.
The Igbo Leader, Lagos State, prayed that God Almighty who has brought us this far would continue to bless our country as we march towards the 2023 general elections.
