Ibadan Markets Shutdown On Monday Over Death Of Olubadan

The Babaloja general of Oyo State, Alh Asiwaju Yekini Abass Oladapo has declared closure of all markets in Ibadanland on Monday, January 3, 2022.

 

The Babaloja also added that the day should be set aside to honour the late Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Adetunji, Ajeogunguniso 1st, by all traders in Ibadanland.

He said this was an agreement reached by Market leaders council in Oyo State, after an emergency meeting held in Ibadan.

“On behalf of all traders, I commiserate with all sons and daughters of Ibadanland, the Oyo state government led by Governor Seyi Makinde, the CCII, the state Traditional Council, Olubadan- in- council and Olori Rasheedat Adetunji over the demise of His Imperial Majesty Oba Saliu Adetunji Ajeogunguniso 1st”, he said.

He noted that the contribution of Oba Saliu Adetunji to the development of Ibadanland has added patronage to the markets.

 

Oladapo prayed for the repose of the soul of Oba Saliu Adetunji Ajeogunguniso the first and Allah grant him Aljana fridaous.
